The hack occurred March 23 and was valued at more than $600 million. It is the biggest burglary of its key in history, and was found numerous days later. The coin was originated from Axie Infinity, a play-to-earn video game that Sky Mavis established in Vietnam. In an effort to compensate users who were affected, the video games developers have raised more than $150 million.
Chainalysis reported that the United States Treasury Department Office of Foreign Assets Control Specially Designed Nationals and Blocked Persons list (SDN), was upgraded on Thursday to show the possibility of North Korean cyber-criminal Lazarus Group being behind the hack of Ronin Bridge last month. The Ronin Bridge was hacked with over 173,600 Ether and 25.5 Million USD Coin (USDC). Ronin likewise verified the information.
